UE programmes
All countries of the region except Brunei and Singapore are on the list of countries eligible to Horizon 2020 funding (systematically unless expressedly excluded in the call).
Institutions from non-systematically eligible countries can receive funding through Horizon 2020 if their contribution to the project is deemed indispensable to its success.

SEA-EU-NET joint call
The SEA-EU-NET project, funded by the European Union (FP7), associates 21 partners from the EU and Southeast Asia and tackles societal challenges htrough S&T cooperation. It focuses on Health, Food Safety and Security, Metrology, and Water Management. A joint funding scheme has been set up, aiming at funding mobility and workshops for projects involving institutions from both regions.
